A BAS Dirty Weekend
Saturday 6 and Sunday 7, June 2009

At BAS we try to make screenings as accessible as possible, so we generally keep all anime shown to around the PG level. Do Not Disturb is a special screening weekend where we’ll raise the level (or lower it, depending on your point of view).

Of course we’re not going to show pornography – think of regular BAS as High School Musical, and Do Not Disturb as Animal House – just good clean fun. Well, good fun.

And to make the weekend even more interesting we’ll be holding some gaming competitions, a trivia competition and dinner at Ajisen Ramen.

With prizes to be won, laughs to be had and great weekend in store this is one weekend not to be missed!

Anime Trivia
Get your teams organised – Jeopardy-style competition, across multiple categories. You’ll need to have members versed in anime, manga, gaming and otaku-lore to be the ultimate BAStions of Otaku Knowledge.

Team registration available on Day 1 for competition on Day 2.

Admission
Admission covers entry to the screenings, gaming and trivia competitions. Lunch will be available on the day (pricing TBA). The dinner on Saturday night is payable separately (not everybody will want to attend).

Pre-Registration
Pre-Registration will be available up until the last BAS prior to the event. Pre-registration covers both days only – daily entry is available on the door. Pre-registration begins on Sunday, 29 March 2009.

Entry Restrictions
The anime we’ll be showing is between the MA15+ and R18+ level. Nothing rated R, nothing more violent than what usually gets shown, but there will be some animated nudity, sexual references and obscene language. If American Pie was too inappropriate for you then you probably won’t like these series.

Consequently, we have decided to voluntarily allow admission to patrons 16 years and older only unless permission is recieved from parents/guardians. The BAS Executive reserve the right to deny admission at their discretion.

Which Games?
 TBC means TO BE CONFIRMED means WE’LL TELL YOU CLOSER TO THE TIME, FOOL!

Are these games single or multi card games (eg do I need to obtain a copy)?
If a cart is required to play it, we will provide enough copies.

Will you be using sample cards (DS storage cards)?
No, we will not be using ROMs – real carts.
